It's halloween and the last day of October!
I started this project in spring. Sewing one block every other week for the first weeks and then piling up the patterns and did the last eight in a few days. I finalised the top after a short while and got to bast it as well.
I have quiltet it from various ideas in my head - feeling like a professionel quilter along the way. I have really played with the quilting, which unfortunately is not so easy to see in the picture. The binding between the blocks have piano keys and the outer border is with crosses - in the blocks theres an artificial flower and som crossing curves. Everythin in this project has been funnnnnn. And everything - fabrics, batting and background has come from my shelves.
When that is said - I really like all the colors in the quilt BUT I do not feel they work well together. They are from a Moda line called Natural Garden - and I can see the colours from a garden in July. However, I think there are too many colours and blocks together. So the quilt reminds me of fun and harmony that does not work. It is a bit like halloween, right ?
Anyway, I think this is the last finish of this month. I will display it in my trim room until another quilt takes over :O
I love the colours and for me, they will work together. Nice quilt you made.
