A couple of finishes and new inspiration

I have been sewing a bit - mostly it is quilting on my Jelly Roll quilt, but I also managed to finalize two small projects.
One is the cupholder from Lierquilten - which I am going to use for the next meeting :O)

The other is a small sticheri which finally had the two cats attatched and I got to phrame it. I think they are very cute. I like cats although I am a big dog lover !!

I came over a new project, which has been ongoing for some time. Take a look at Thread Heads free project. I will try to use some of my repreduction fabrics for this one :O)

Jubiiiiiiii

Takk jenter, for supert selskap ;o)

Basting, quilting, course and mail

A lot is happening in the Q world around me right now. Thats nice. First of all I have been basting the "quilt along" and now I have also done a lot of mashine quilting on it. That has been quite fun, and as this is a fun quilt where I am not "afraid to do anything wrong" - I have experimented a lot with the quilting. You will see as soon as it is finished :o)

On wednesday there was a meeting in my guild Lierquilten and we made the nicest little cup holders. On the picture you see part of the "teacher" and her three models. Everybody got a small package with fabrics and then: action!! I will post a picture of my result later.

Today when I came home there was a very nice box in the mailbox, it contained three quilting books that I have been looking forward to recieve for some time - you might see them later :o)

And finally - I am looking sooooo much forward to the week-end. I will be attending a course with Barri from Bareroots Yes Yes Yes I am exited. Car is starting at 9 tomorrow morning :o)

I wish you a nice weekend !!!

First October finish

3 days on the cabin and plenty time for handquilting. The weather is dry autumn and we have been having some nice days with fire in the owen and fantastic colors outside. Today we return to reality :O(
I finally finished this table runner - still leftover bloggs from the Rounneries blanket i did in January. There was a lot of quiting on this one and it turned out very nice. Now it is on the small table next to the sofa and as you can see infront of the fireplace. How nice is that?
I actually tested the tablerunner with some green gate cups - it looks very nice so at my next visit I will bring my small collection of green gate :O)

Lille Stasjon

Last minute OPAM

Okay - the picture is terrible, I know. There will be a better one later. Since it is the last day of the month and since there were no finishes so far, I yesterday evening made a small purse with "zipper on the roll". My first such, and it was very easy :O)
So for this month, one small OPAM - without the help from the OPAM "project" there would not have been a finish this month.
Thank you to Peg and Chris for hosting this.

Still alive - barely ....

It is still much to much work and to little sewing. But this weekend I got my jelly roll basted and ready for quilting. I think I know how to quilt it (by mashine) so next time I have some leftover hours I will spend them on that project.
Next thing to finish is the "smaller stars" project. I was so much into it during the spring, and now it has stayed without the borders for months. When I picked it out of the stash yesterday it was screeming for finalisation. That is next on my list.
I fear there will be no OPAMs this month. Have to come back stronger in October !

Autumn ....

It was a lovely autumn week-end and despite other priorities on Friday we got a short break by going to the cabin from Saturday to Sunday. We rearrenged the furniture in the living room and I am happy with the results. The cabin got very cosy :O)
THe weather was nice and today it was possible to sit in the sun with just a t-shirt and a good book.
When we arrived we were welcomed by several families of musroms and other fungus. They are very pretty. Gives inspiration :o)

Not a lot of sewing and next week I am travelling all week. I look forward to next weekend and the week after there will be a small break with three days off. I look forward to that as I am building up a big urge for sewing (lots of plans) !!!!

Long time - no seen

Not a lot of blogging on my site. Jobb, jobb, jobb, some exercise and luckely some family and friends - but not a lot of sewing and blogging. You have to draw a line somewhere. It will be better in the future ( I always believe that ....)
Anyway, here's a picture of my son who did his first piece of patchwork during the summerbreak. We will make a small "something" of it - some day. He was very proud and it was a lot of fun.

Will probably not take next step with this until the autumn holiday - but they are not so far away :O)
